The Ultimate Active Lifestyle Dream Escape: The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai

Never before did I think that one vacation destination could truly encompass every single thing I love and cherish so much- an exotic dream destination, ultimate relaxation, healthy eats, tasty cocktails, endless active lifestyle amenities, IG worthy at every corner, perfect weather, and a turn key 5 star experience. Until, I stayed The Four Seasons Hualalai. I was lucky enough to vacay at this dream resort with a few of my best gals just a few short weeks ago, and I am here to tell you that it is everything that it was hyped up to be and more.
Throughout the course of our 4 days at the resort, we took part in just about every amenity available to us. Myself particularly, found the most enjoyment in their active lifestyle amenities. It drives me nuts when people think that enjoying an active lifestyle and going on vacation cannot coexist. Amie and I woke up every single morning at 6:00AM, enjoyed the sunrise, and headed to get a cup of coffee and go for a walk on the beach. We did a private sunrise yoga session one morning, which was so serene and exactly what my body was craving after a day of traveling. We took full advantage of the gorgeous state of the art fitness center every single day. When I tell you this gym had everything to offer and more, I am not kidding. Group fitness classes, a yoga studio, a lap pool, weights machine, free weights, cardio equipment, personal trainers, the list goes on. Being a fitness junkie, I obviously couldn’t resist taking advantage fully. I filmed tons of workouts for you babes while I was there, find them here and try the out! It was so relieving to stay on top of my goals while on vacation. We also decided to take our workout to the ocean one morning, and the four of us enjoyed a full day in the sun paddle boarding and swimming in the ocean for hours. Speaking of swimming, did I mention that one of their 7 pools is actually a salt water pool filled with hundreds of species of live fish, that you can swim with?! YUP! Amie and I actually signed up to feed the Eagle Rey that lives in this pool as well, Britt and Laura weren’t up for it, haha. Maybe next time girls. Anyway, it was beyond freaking rad.
Not only were we able to incorporate fitness and staying active into our vacation, but we were able to enjoy the most delicious, balanced, fresh, and nutritious meals also. Dont get me wrong, we ate and drank our fair share of french fries and cocktails as well, but hey, balance is key. We enjoyed breakfast with a breath taking view every single morning, ate poolside for lunch most days, and grabbed dinner at one of their many vibey candle lit restaurants, accompanied by a bottle of wine, or two. A typical days worth of food looked a little something like this for me-
Breakfast: fresh papaya with homemade probiotic yogurt, and a matcha latte.
Lunch: Fresh grilled fish tacos, side salad, skinny spicy margarita.
Snack: Shrimp cocktail.
Dinner: Fresh grilled fish, seasonal veggies, the most heavenly sourdough bread of all time, and a glass of wine.
Needless to say, nothing failed to impress. I am a major foodie, and its a huge component of vacation for most people. I am telling you, it will not disappoint.
Lastly, before we departed paradise on our last day, we took advantage of the full service Spa for one last day of relaxation. You can book massages, facials, and body treatments for the most luxurious experience. You can also enjoy the free amenities of the spa such as the steam room, sauna, and cold plunge, all sounded by the most lush tropical environment. It is absolutely peaceful and stunning. Needless to say my experience at ti resort was truly 5-star. It was the best wellness destination I have ever visited, I was so sad to leave. and cannot wait to go back!
